During four years, students learn the mechanisms strength & design of various machines, energy systems, materials, production processes, machine tools and manufacturing system of wide range of industries.

Vision of the Department

The Mechanical Engineering Department endeavors to be recognized nationally for education and research by producing well qualified ethical engineers, who will meet the ever changing social and industrial needs.

Mission of the Department

M1: To impart the basics and advancements in the field of Mechanical Engineering through hi-tech teaching-learning techniques, which leads to employability, higher education and entrepreneurship.

M2:To develop alliances with educational institutions, industry, R&D organizations and alumni for excellence in research and consultancy practices.

M3: To inculcate leadership and managerial skills through various curricular& co-curricular activities.

 

 

Programme Educational Objectives (PEOs)          

Under the Mechanical Engineering undergraduate program, department has a goal to produce Mechanical Engineers who will:

PEO1:  Apply knowledge to provide the real life solution for industries and societies.

Apply the knowledge of mathematics, science, Engineering fundamentals, and a Mechanical engineering specialization to the solution of complex engineering problems.

Identify, formulate, research literature, and analyze complex engineering problems reaching substantiated conclusions using first principles of mathematics, natural sciences, and engineering sciences.

Design & Development of Solutions

Design solutions for complex engineering problems and design system components or processes that meet the specified needs with appropriate consideration for the public health and safety, and the cultural, societal, and environmental considerations.

Conduct investigations of complex problems

 Use research base knowledge and research method including design of experiments, analysis and interpretation of data and synthesis of the information to provide valid conclusions.

Modern Tool Usage

Create, select, and apply appropriate techniques, resources, and modern engineering and IT tools including prediction and modeling to complex engineering activities with an understanding of the limitations.
